Celebrating World Book Day with a story-telling workshop
Year 6 enjoyed an incredible workshop learning about the essence of story-telling through drama. 

Pupils were able to develop associated key vocabulary: tableau, tautology, naturalism, stylised version, grotesque action and anthropomorphic.

With the guide of our expert, not only did our children experience a fun-packed journey about self-expression and acting but they were offered some meaningful guide for living so that our children are the best they can be.
The workshop enabled our children to have the confidence to ‘demonstrate their light’.

Several tableaus were created: playing in the playground, shopping at the supermarket, arguing, eating at a restaurant.  The lesson progressed to create scenes from Anansi, the trickster from the folktales of the Ashanti of West Africa, who is challenged with capturing four creatures and then presenting them to Nyan-Kopon, the sky god.

What did Year 6 think…
