Making Victorian toys
Using paper, wood and tape, Year 6 made a traditional toy called cup and ball. They had tremendous fun through making such a simple toy.
“This toy made my class very excited and competitive! It certainly cheered up Victorian Day.
Victorian Christmas decoration
A Christmas tradition was brought back to life. With cloves, cinnamon and rosemary, our classroom smelt truly of Christmas…Year 6 also achieved an eco-friendly way of decorating the home at Christmas time through using dried fruit.
Year 6 used woodwork to make mitre corners and create a frame for their art work. They learned how to place wood into a jig to guide their sawing.
“I can’t believe I made this frame with my hands. I learned so many new skills like sawing and I feel very proud of my work.
