Lenten appeal 2023

​The children have been thinking about what they planned to give up to mark the important time in the church calendar – Lent. We enjoyed a lively discussion about the significance of Lent and how we can draw closer to God through prayer, almsgiving and fasting. The children then shared what they were going to give up this year as some of the class will be preparing for their first Holy Communion. They then wrote their Lenten promises on a stone to remind us of the path that we have chosen to take to Calvary.
