Author Visit

To continue our celebration of World Book Day 2023, key stage 2 had the honour of an in person visit from the Author Laura Mucha. The children’s poet engaged the children with her electric energy, enthusiasm and charm. She explained her writing process, read the children some of her hugely entertaining non-fiction poems and led a poetry writing workshop to showcase the dreaded editing process when writing.

The children thoroughly enjoyed her re-enactment of how honey bees protect themselves against hornets and were thrilled with her research into her poem about the King Cobra snake.
