Religious Education

21/5/2021

In Religion we learnt all about ‘Mary our Mother’, we learnt the prayer ‘Hail Mary’ and through role play we crowned Mary. The children dressed up as Mary and presented her with flowers. We really enjoyed the activities.

Maths & Science Week - Using our senses

20/5/2021

In science we explored the senses of smell and hearing. We made potions, smelling pots, orange scented playdough, telephones, listened to different musical instruments and composed our own music.

Maths & Science Week - Numicon

18/5/2021

In Maths we used Numicon and playdough to match numbers to amounts during our carpet sessions and in our continued provision.

Strictly Come Dancing

17/5/2021

What a fantastic week we had filled with maths and science learning! We dressed up as dancers and made our own dancing competition, we made a disco ball, bought tickets with money, became judges, danced to different tempos of music and choreographed a brilliant show full of maths learning.

The Three Billy Goats Gruff

13/5/2021

This week we also read the 3 Billy Goat Gruff story. We really enjoyed it. We acted out the story and painted the troll, designed, we built bridges indoors and outdoors by working individually and together in groups. We also watched ‘cosmic Kids’ Yoga and tried to copy the movements.

Our Senses

11/5/2021

This week we have been learning all about our senses. We made marks in the sand, looked at information books about our senses, made sensory bottles, explored natural and man-made materials and played the ‘I Spy’ game in the school grounds.
