Chess Tournament 2019

11/12/2019

On 4th December Year 5 participated in the London Chess Classic at Olympia.

The class have been learning chess, with their tutor Mr Costello, since September and have made amazing progress.  T
he day at Olympia was great fun and the children enjoyed meeting Grandmasters and learning some new tactics.

In the afternoon they played Chess against other schools from London and were very successful, winning four bronze medals and three silver ones – the best result we have ever had! Well done Year 5!
