Mrs McInroy and the School Council launched Anti Bullying Week at assembly as the children explained this year's theme 'One Kind Word - or phrase'. All children will be engaged in doing lots of kind acts next week and hopefully beyond. Children have been asked to wear odd socks to school on Monday to celebrate their individuality.  We also presented an assembly about COP 26 and wrote some very persuasive letters to the politicians and leaders of the world. The letters are on display in the hall. Year 5 are coming to the end of their topic about World War 1. Here are some paintings we created using Paul Nash as our inspiration. He was a World War 1 War artist who was determined to show the devastation of the trenches. Some children have created some amazing trenches at home for their half term project. They are amazing!! Well done Year 5! |
