Year 5 have really enjoyed our topic of World War 1 and have produced some amazing work.
They have studied posters from World War 1 and discussed how each poster influenced the men of
1914. We have linked these ideas to propaganda.
We have studied the war artist Paul Nash and use some of his trench paintings as inspiration for our own. The children chose very powerful titles for their works of art.
We have visited the Imperial War Museum and learned so much about why and how the war was fought.
During half term many of the children chose to design and make a model of a trench. As you can see these models are fantastic. The attention to detail and innovative use of materials show real skill
