A trip to London Zoo

​​Year 2 spent the day at London Zoo, we had a workshop on Colour, Pattern and Camouflage.
We looked at different animals and talked about what they looked like and the environment they lived in.  In the reptile house, butterfly house and the rainforest we saw animals that were able to camouflage in their surroundings.  The children had fun trying to spot the animals.
The children were amazed at the size of the animals especially the giraffes, lions and tigers. The were enthralled by the penguins and how gracefully they swam.  They were able to see the humps of a camel that we had been talking about in class.
