​Preparations are afoot for our big Platinum Jubilee picnic for Queen Elizabeth. The Reception children have been learning a song that they are going to perform and we are making flags to wave as part of our performance. We also made a giant flag using tactile materials that we are going to display in the classroom. The children were fascinated to learn that the Union Jack flag represents four different countries of the United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland!
