Our First Week Back – Summer Term 2021
 
This week we are learning about traditional stories and our focus text is “Little Red Riding Hood.” We loved making masks and using our new finger puppets to retell and role play this story. We also discussed how traditional tales are different from other stories and how they are very old and our parents and grandparents learned them when they were little! We were so inspired by our favourite stories that some children even had a go at writing their own stories. They were all amazing.
We are learning to count to 20 and beyond this term and are learning how to form some 2-digit numbers.
Our RE topic is “New Life” and are learning about the good news of Jesus riding from the dead at Easter. We really enjoyed using our wooden figures to retell the story in our own words.
