We have been learning about the properties of 2D and 3D shapes this week and really enjoyed printing with the 3D shapes to see their faces. Guided reading continues to be lots of fun with children working in small groups on different reading and writing activities. In our outside are we have set up a post office and Santa's grotto for imaginative festive learning and play.
We have had a busy week preparing for Advent. The children loved studying paintings of the Annunciation and were inspired to create their own interpretations of this most important event. Liam was so inspired by Remembrance Day that he made is own poppy tribute at home and we added it to our tree of remembrance to be admired by the whole school. The children had their first day in their new class. They enjoyed meeting their teachers and familarising themselves with their new environments. School life rapidly returned to normal with exciting lessons, stories and circle time. |
