This week the children had a very special safety session all about carbon monoxide (CO), understanding what it is and how we can keep ourselves safe. Safety Seymour (a superhero bear) and his safety assistant virtually visited our class, on a mission to rid the world of CO poisoning but he still needs our help!!
We explored our school grounds to see what microhabitats we could find. A Microhabitat is a small specialised habitat within a larger habitat. We then observed and named the animals we found in the Microhabitat.
In Religion we acted out the story of Moses as a baby. Ask your child to use the photographs to retell the story.
We looked at different types of sculptures and the artist Andy Goldsworthy. We decided his sculptures were made from natural materials. We then designed our own sculptures in the style of Andy Goldsworthy using natural materials from the school grounds.
During Art we studied the Artist Georgia O’Keeffe. We used her paintings as inspiration to create our own pictures of flowers.
