Staff Wellbeing at English Martyrs
Staff wellbeing at English Martyrs is integral to living our school’s mission, vision and values. When adults feel known, valued and supported, they are better able to nurture each child as a unique and precious individual, fostering the compassionate relationships and high aspirations that sit at the heart of our school’s Catholic vision.
Prioritising staff wellbeing honours the Gospel values of faith, respect, responsibility and compassion. This models to children what it means to belong to God’s loving family in the everyday realities of work, collaboration and service.
By equipping and supporting staff to live out the mission, vision, values and aims in their own lives, our school strengthens a culture where everyone can flourish in spirit, character and learning.
In doing so, our whole community truly radiates Christ’s love to one another and to the wider world.
To support staff well-being, we have developed and are implementing a ‘Staff Wellbeing Action Plan’. This has been created as a direct result of feedback from staff.
We also have a Staff Wellbeing Charter, attached below.
Both the Action Plan and Charter can be seen as working documents which will change and develop over time, in consultation with staff.
