School reopening - Reception

This will be your new learning environment.

Reception

We know that life has been very different.

In It Together - This story can be used to talk to children about their own experiences during lockdown. It supports children's emotional well-being and helps them understand their own experiences as well as the experiences of others.

At the end of the book, the characters prepare for life after lockdown, getting ready to return to school and stay safe from the coronavirus. They experience different emotions, from excitement to anxiety. They know that the adults at school will help them. Although things are strange right now, the children know that they are all in it together.

School may seem a little bit different but it's still full of fun, love and friendship.

The following PowerPoint presentation aims to answer some of the questions children may have about their new learning environment.
More detailed information about school life can be found in Miss Nugent's 2nd June and 5th June newletters.

Don't forget to wash your hands.

Finally, here are two fun videos to help your child with washing their hands.
