Gorsefield Reflections

23/1/2025

Picture

I can’t believe the end of Gorsefield is almost here and even though I love my family, I could actually stay here another week. This place has nurtured my confidence and resilience.
Josie

Gorsefield offers everything: excitement, a place to rest and relax and especially to become independent.

Kianey

Gorsefield is great fun. I will remember these days forever. It has been a great time to learn and grow with friends. This house is warm and special.
Emilia

At first Gorsefield feels strange because you’re away from home but then you gradually begin to feel more jovial. There are so many reasons for this, I can’t begin to pick just one, but if I were forced to, it would be because my friends are beside me on this learning and growing adventure.
Oliviero

Gorsefield is the best ever treasure,
You can be here forever and chill with pleasure,
You can let your worries fly away, whilst relaxing at leisure,
And finally, trust me when I say,  it really is the greatest ever  as it absolutely has no measure!
Amelia

I love Gorsefield so much.I wish I could stay here for longer. It is such fun learning through the activities. I also felt at one with nature.
Evie

Gorsefield has helped me to become more independent with the help of my friends and teachers. I will always remember this time forever.
Silvana

After a day, this place feels truly like home because it feels like we’re one big family. I love the wildlife away from the city and the house is everything you need.
Aidan

Gorsefield is amazing. The bedrooms, food, and grounds are breathtaking. I am happy to be here and experience this time which we have all worked hard to make special.
Cormac

Gorsefield is great fun. So much time with friends and teachers makes me so happy.
Rosa

Gorsefield is a memory which I will treasure as one of my most special. My class and I got the chance to be like a family together because our bonds were strengthened.
Felicity

Gorsefield! What can I say?
Every penny was worth it! (Thank you parents)
I can’t express anymore.
Katrin

There are so many wonderful memories from this week but one of my favourites which will last forever is our muddy puddles day with friends. I loved this the most because none of us felt stressed about our studies but instead we were as free as birds.
Chloe

I never believed Gorsefield could be this spectacular. So much time with friends has meant I’ve made the best memories of my life.
Scarlett

Gorsefield was an excellent and surprising adventure. I have learned so much out of the classroom. I feel like my knowledge  has grown because we did activities which explained things clearly. I loved my time with my friends.
Nicholas

You could never get bored at Gorsefield because there’s so much to do here. I especially appreciated our prayer times because it made me feel holy and relaxed and it reminded me of home.
Elena

Gorsefield has enabled me not to worry about getting messy or dirty anymore because it’s more important to have fun. This week I have become more independent and even though I’ve missed my parents immensely, I have learned to overcome my  fears. I am proud of myself as are my teachers.
Jan

Gorsefield has given me the space to be myself and be free. I have had the time to not worry about things. I have loved all the activities, especially archery and the Zoology Museum where I learned so many interesting facts, it blew me away.
Fred

Gorsefield has been the most fantastic time of my life because you’re doing a lot of work and learning but you don’t actually realise it.
Musa

Over this week I have learned that I can do so much more than I thought was capable of. It has made me believe in myself and that I have a lot of skills and talents to offer. Gorsefield gave me faith that I will never lose.
Maeve
