To celebrate World Book Day today, pupils were invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. Year 5 children also read stories to pupils in the lower classes and the kitchen prepared a ‘Harry Potter’ themed lunch followed by jelly. Children listened intently to Peter Jones from CAFOD who showed them how to spread kindness this season with meaningful gifts. Teachers were blown aware by the spiritual responses the children gave when asked what was the 'greatest gift they had received'? They hope they will be able to raise enough funds this Christmas, to give a life-changing gift to those in need. The children thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas lunch. Everyone looked so merry and festive in their Christmas jumpers. |
