At English Martyrs Catholic Primary School, we have links to our parish newsletters on the school website because our parish is a central part of your child’s experience at English Martyrs.

Why we share parish newsletters

• They show the worship, celebrations and community events that many of our children and families are involved in through the parish.
• They highlight opportunities for children to read, serve, sing, help with charity work and take on responsibilities in a real faith community, not just in school.
• They keep you informed about Masses, liturgies and parish activities that support your child’s spiritual life, values and sense of belonging.

How this helps your child

• Parish events help children grow in faith, kindness, respect and service to others – all key parts of their personal development and wellbeing.
• Being part of the parish community gives children a wider “family” where they can feel known, supported and encouraged.
• Many parish activities link directly to what we teach in RE, PSHE/RSE and about British values, so home, school and parish are all giving the same messages.

By including parish newsletters on the school website, we are making it easier for families to see the whole picture of their child’s Catholic education – in school, at church and in the wider community – and to join in with the events and opportunities that will help their children grow.
