Our School Hymn – Gospel Values, Shining Bright
At English Martyrs, our school hymn, “Gospel Values, Shining Bright”, captures who we are and what we believe as a Catholic community. It is much more than a song we sing in assemblies – it is a simple, memorable way for our children to understand and live our Gospel values each day.
The words of the hymn speak about honesty, justice, kindness, humility, compassion and service.
When our children sing “We keep our promises, strong and true” and “Everyone matters, great or small”, they are voicing the kind of people they are becoming and the kind of community we are building together.
