SUPPORT YOUR CHILD
FREE Ready for Secondary School workshop for families 
A free, expert-led workshop for young people with allergies and their parents.  There are 2 workshops at the same time, one for pupils (currently in year 5 or 6) and another for their parents or carers. Please use following link:

This free event is being funded by Allergy UK.
Session for young people: 
  • Practice using adrenaline pens
  • Real-world scenarios like canteens and school trips
  • Navigating social situations
  • Travelling to and from school
  • Recognising and treating allergic reactions
  • Practice using AAIs
  • Clear, practical advice from Allergy Nurse Consultant James Gardner and Clinical Nurse Specialist Katherine Knight. James lives with allergies himself so will talk about his personal experience too.
Session for parents and carers:
  • Guidance on building a relationship with the school
  • How to support your child's independence without losing oversight
  • A calm space to ask questions and connect with parents who truly get it
  • Run by Sarah Knight, founder of The Allergy Team and an expert in parenting with allergies
