Love, Respect, Honesty
A very warm welcome of behalf of all the children, staff and governors to English Martyrs Catholic Primary School.
Our website will give you a chance to get a glimpse of life at our school and all that makes it the vibrant, spiritual and enriching environment of which we are all so proud. English Martyrs is a lively and friendly small primary school that welcomes families from all faiths and none. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and diverse, having 31 languages spoken and celebrating different cultures, faiths and traditions throughout the year. We encourage strong links between school, home and parish, where all children are nurtured within a supportive Christian environment and their potential valued - spiritually, morally, academically and socially. |
We are very proud of our carefully crafted thematic curriculum which develops skills and knowledge throughout all subjects, as well as providing a high level of cultural experiences. In striving for academic excellence, we encourage our children to be independent learners and to develop enquiring minds in order to face the challenges of an ever-changing world.
Our children are welcoming, courteous, enthusiastic and articulate individuals. They take great pride in their school and throughout their time at our school can also play their role as excellent ambassadors - as Faith Friends, School Councilors, Eco-warriors, Playground Buddies and Transport Ambassadors.
We all believe, firmly and genuinely in the capacity and potential of every child, made in the image of God. We recognise that, with a strong moral compass, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, as well as high expectations in all aspects of school life, they will make their mark on our ever changing world.
