Frequently Asked Questions
 
What time does school start each day?
Gate opens at 8:35am, pupils wishing to run Daily Mile may enter the gate at 8:25am. Registers are called at 8:50am
 
What time is morning break?
Break is at 10:25 – 10:40 for Years 1, 2 & 3.  Years 4, 5 & 6 break will be at 10:45 until 11am.
 
What time does school finish each day?
Nursery class finishes at 3:05, all other years finish at 3:15.
 
What gate do I collect my child from each day?
Nursery and Reception can be collected at the Nursery gate. Years 1 and 2 can be collected at the West Tenter Street gate, all other classes can be collected from the gate on Scarborough Street.
 
What will happen if my child loses a piece of clothing?
All clothing must be clearly marked so they can be returned to their owner.  Un-named items of clothing will be taken to classes for identification, if unclaimed they will be recycled at the end of the term
 
Can my child bring toys to school?
No, toys are not permitted unless the teacher has specifically asked them to do so.
 
How can I contact my child’s teacher?
Please ring or visit the school office to arrange a meeting with the class teacher.  Teachers are unable to meet with parents during school hours.
 
What time does my child have lunch?
Nursery and Reception have lunch at 11:30, Years 1, 2 and 3 have lunch at 12pm and Years 4, 5 & 6 have lunch from 12:45pm
 
What time is afternoon break for Years 1, 2 & 3?
Years 1, 2 & 3 have afternoon break from 2:00 until 2:15pm
 
Can my child bring a bottle of water to school?
Children are encouraged to bring bottled water to school, this reduces the time lost through leaving the class to drink.
 
Do you have before and after school provision?
Breakfast runs from 7:15am until 8:45am.  Afterschool care runs from 3:15pm until 6:15pm. Both clubs must be arranged through the office.
